Employees are rushing to be laid off, and Guangzhou Honda has indeed given too much!

Due to a decline in sales and a decrease in order numbers, Guangzhou Honda was also forced to lay off employees, with approximately 1700 employees, accounting for 14% of the total number of Guangzhou Honda employees. This is not the first time that a Sino Japanese joint venture car company has laid off employees in China, the previous one was Guangzhou Mitsubishi. GAC Mitsubishi did not call it layoffs, but rather disbanded. The company went bankrupt and went bankrupt, and Mitsubishi also withdrew from China.

Generally speaking, encountering layoffs is not a very happy thing. After all, finding a job is not easy in this era, and if one is laid off, it is equivalent to unemployment. Unlike Guangzhou Honda, many veteran employees are competing to be laid off, hoping that the big prize of layoffs will fall on themselves. In this way, you can retire early. Even if you don't retire, it's not too difficult to find a new energy vehicle factory to seamlessly connect and re employment. Why is this happening? The root cause lies in the excessive compensation given by GAC Honda for layoffs.

Guangben adopts a compensation plan of "N+2+1.8", which is higher than Tesla's layoff compensation. When Tesla laid off employees, many people lamented that it was better for a foreign company to comply with labor laws and receive a considerable amount of compensation. Tesla, which can strictly compensate according to labor laws, has already made many Chinese workers envious. The compensation for layoffs in Guangben is in addition to the provisions of labor law, and an additional 1.8 months of salary will be given as a bonus.

"N+2" is standard compensation, which is consistent with Tesla. "N" represents years of service, "2" represents an additional two months of salary. The meaning of "N+1" is to compensate an additional month's salary based on the length of service. The meaning of "N+2" is to compensate an additional two months of salary based on the length of employment. Captain, let me give you an example. For example, you worked as an engineer at Guangzhou Honda with a basic monthly salary of 20000 yuan and have been working there for 10 years.

So, your total compensation for layoffs is 200000 yuan for 10 years of work experience, and an additional two months of salary, which is 240000 yuan. This is the standard compensation for N+2. Guangqi Honda is more conscientious and believes that in the past 10 years, employees have also made significant contributions. In addition to the "N+2" compensation, an additional bonus of 1.8 months is 36000 yuan. In the end, the total amount of layoff compensation you can receive at once is 276000 yuan. The older the employee, the higher the basic salary, and the more compensation they will receive.

Therefore, as soon as this plan was announced, the senior employees of Guangzhou Honda were particularly eager to be laid off. After receiving this huge sum of money, not only can you retire directly, but you can also rest at home for at least six months, or a year, and then come out to look for a job. Especially for some middle-level managers, there is no room for career advancement, and there is not much hope for salary increases. It is best to work until retirement, but if you cannot work until retirement, you can receive a large compensation, which is also equivalent to early retirement.

Why is Guangzhou Honda's layoff compensation higher than Tesla's?
There are two main reasons:
Firstly, GAC Honda was founded in 1998 and has been rooted in China for 26 years. Both the management and production lines have a large number of senior employees with particularly long working experience. Tesla's employees have a relatively short start time, and mainly lay off new employees for about six months to a year, so the compensation amount is not too large. But Guangqi Honda is different. It has many employees with more than ten years of experience, and the main layoff department is also concentrated in the fuel vehicle sector. The cost of layoffs cannot be reduced at all.

Secondly, GAC Honda is not a foreign-funded enterprise, but a Sino Japanese joint venture. It has the nature of a semi state-owned asset and is backed by the state-owned automobile enterprise Guangzhou Automobile Group. The advantage of state-owned or semi state-owned enterprises is that the five insurances and one fund will not mistreat employees, and layoff compensation will also be implemented in accordance with labor laws. As a semi state-owned enterprise, GAC also has to bear some social responsibility and show some care for its old employees. This layoff compensation is not entirely borne by Honda, but by GAC and Honda each sharing half of it.

When GAC Mitsubishi went bankrupt and dissolved, it was also an emergency blood transfusion for GAC. Not only did it take over the Mitsubishi factory, but it also jointly paid the severance pay for its employees with Mitsubishi. Although Mitsubishi has withdrawn from China, the employees of GAC Mitsubishi are still very satisfied. During the six-month shutdown, the basic salary of 4500 yuan was paid as usual, and social security was purchased as usual, surpassing countless sweatshops.

In terms of employee benefits, there is still a significant gap between our private enterprises and state-owned enterprises, joint ventures, and foreign investment. This is also the reason why contemporary college students are eager to enter state-owned enterprises.

How many years behind China is India's per capita GDP of $2500?

I have seen this set of data: looking at the export value of goods, India lags behind China by 17 years; Looking at the total amount of foreign exchange reserves, India lags behind China by 19 years; Compared to the actual amount of foreign direct investment utilized by the two countries, India is only equivalent to China from 2003 to 2004, lagging behind by 20 years. Observing the research patents of China and India, India lags behind China by at least 21 years. The authenticity of these values has not been verified by Nansheng and is for your reference only. But this reminds me of another question worth paying attention to, which year is the level of India's economy comparable to that of our country? Focus on comparing economic scale and per capita GDP Taking the GDP of China and India in the past year as an example, India's economic scale in 2023 is approximately 288.3 trillion rupees, or 3.49 trillion US dollars. There is no exact matching year, the closest is 2007, with Ch...
