If it were you, would you do the same if the whole house was tiled on the wall?

In recent years, I have seen many examples of ceramic tiles on walls, and this kind of decoration that has always existed seems to have a trend of becoming popular again.

Well, recently I saw an old man from Xiamen showing off his new house, which was made entirely of ceramic tiles on the walls. However, his friends around him had mixed reviews.

Some people say that making the walls of the entire house clean, tidy, and upscale, it is also convenient to wipe and clean on weekdays. When it comes to returning to the south, there is no fear of the walls getting damp and moldy.

Some people also say that ceramic tiles on the walls of the entire house are too expensive and the style is too cold and monotonous, making it difficult to determine whether to do tile on wall decoration.

Living room tiles with spotlights

Not to mention anything else, I find it a bit difficult to accept in the living room. After all, I have made a circle of spotlights and hung them, and after the tiles are pasted on the wall, there will inevitably be problems with the reflective surface of the tiles, making the lighting layout in the house tend to be messy and even somewhat dazzling.

In addition, although it is a simple decoration, it is not difficult to see from the living room that the repeated ceramic tiles, rock slabs, and modern style furniture decoration are mixed together, and there is always a feeling of too single and insufficient material use, losing the sense of hierarchy and change in home decoration.

The restaurant has a side facing small dining table

The dining area at home is not large, but there is also a table for six people placed sideways, combined with a small dining cabinet next to it, which can also accommodate a family.

The wall next to it is also covered with ceramic tiles, but it feels a bit out of place.

The living room, master bedroom, and balcony all have large windows

The living room and master bedroom each have a balcony, and the balcony in the living room has been tiled without any accidents. From the ground to the wall, it is basically laid out. However, due to the presence of large floor to ceiling windows, it does not appear abrupt, but rather has a sense of integration, making the home space even larger.

After putting down the washing machine on the balcony in the bedroom, it also has three large windows, with no need for lighting or ventilation. Moreover, ceramic tiles on the wall in the balcony can ensure moisture-proof and waterproof properties. From this perspective, ceramic tiles on the wall are better than latex paint.

Kitchen and bathroom

The kitchen and bathroom at home are both covered with almost identical tiles. I think even if you want to use whole house tiles on the walls, you should try to choose a slightly different tile style and color in the kitchen and bathroom, otherwise the space division will be a bit blurry.

If it were me, perhaps I would choose white ceramic tiles in the bathroom to reduce the visual clutter caused by excessive patterns, and also make the smaller bathroom appear brighter visually, which I personally feel is more suitable.

Two bedrooms painted with wall paint

Finally, the two bedrooms at home were not tiled on the walls, perhaps because they felt that the cold feeling of tiles was not suitable for a cozy bedroom, or because they felt that the bedroom should have a different style to match the cabinets. In short, this white wall looks quite clean and comfortable.

The master bedroom on the opposite side is also painted with latex paint on a white wall, which invisibly reduces the decoration budget of the entire house with ceramic tiles on the wall, echoing the style of the second bedroom. It can be considered a "distinctive" part of this home with ceramic tiles on the wall.

epilogue

In summary, after seeing this Xiamen old man's new house, I believe everyone has their own opinions on the whole house tile wall decoration. If it were you, would you be like him, doing the whole house tile wall decoration?

How many years behind China is India's per capita GDP of $2500?

I have seen this set of data: looking at the export value of goods, India lags behind China by 17 years; Looking at the total amount of foreign exchange reserves, India lags behind China by 19 years; Compared to the actual amount of foreign direct investment utilized by the two countries, India is only equivalent to China from 2003 to 2004, lagging behind by 20 years. Observing the research patents of China and India, India lags behind China by at least 21 years. The authenticity of these values has not been verified by Nansheng and is for your reference only. But this reminds me of another question worth paying attention to, which year is the level of India's economy comparable to that of our country? Focus on comparing economic scale and per capita GDP Taking the GDP of China and India in the past year as an example, India's economic scale in 2023 is approximately 288.3 trillion rupees, or 3.49 trillion US dollars. There is no exact matching year, the closest is 2007, with Ch...
